Old Hall Country Breaks

I just spent three days at Old Hall and it was wonderful from start to finish. Every detail is so thoughtfully taken care of. Gil and Philip are the most gracious hosts, and their hospitality made the stay extra special. We had the made-to-order Thai dinner on Saturday and it was absolutely delicious. Meeting all the animals was such a treat—they’re so cute and friendly! The surrounding area is gorgeous, with stunning beaches, plenty of great places to eat, and some outstanding bakeries. It’s the perfect antidote to city life. Highly recommended!

A Perfect Country Escape at Old Hall Country Breaks! We are just back from an amazing 3-night stay at Old Hall Country Breaks. From the moment we booked, Gil was an outstanding host - friendly, attentive, and full of great local tips. He even helped us plan our itinerary before our arrival date, making our visit more enjoyable and packed with great places to visit. The setting is absolutely stunning, surrounded by charming donkeys, Phil’s beautiful horse, four adorable pygmy goats, and the best looking chickens we’ve ever seen! Resulting in the freshest eggs for our breakfasts each morning! Staying in Stable Cottage was a delight, the accommodation was beautiful, comfortable, and equipped with everything we could possibly need and way more, proper home from home, only better! We indulged in their Old Hall Cream Tea, which was a real treat. Someone said their cream teas are “better than the Ritz” and I can categorically say, IT IS! 5 courses of pure bliss accompanied by delicious teas, cocktails and Italian prosecco! 

The spectacular everything-you-could-wish-for breakfast hamper set us up perfectly for the day ahead. We also enjoyed Thai massages each, TWICE! Pure indulgent bliss! For dinner, we tried their eat-in options of Thai and Indian cuisine, both of which were top notch and deliciously authentic. Dare I say it, better than some upmarket places I’ve visited in London! Old Hall Country Breaks offers the perfect blend of relaxation, comfort, and charming countryside character. We can’t recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit! We had the most fabulous time at The Old Hall Country Breaks where we spent a few days to relax and recharge between Christmas and New Year. We enjoyed our stay so much we’ve booked again for June. Thank you for your amazing hospitality Gil.

My partner and I had the most brilliant stay at Old Hall for his birthday. We spent 2 nights in Stable Cottage but wished we had had longer. The attention to detail of every aspect of our stay was beyond all expectations. We booked the afternoon tea experience for our day of arrival, and it is simply a must-do. We both said afterwards that there is no point in having afternoon tea anywhere else now! It was the single best afternoon tea we have had and could imagine. On our first morning, we woke up to fresh eggs on our doorstep, complete with a birthday note from the chickens. The luxury breakfast hamper was simply superb and had everything we could have wanted, plus our kitchen was stocked with every pot, pan, utensil, etc. you could think of. Aside from our own private garden with a hammock, there are numerous gorgeous spots to sit and relax, play games, or have a drink in the large shared gardens. Everything within the grounds is immaculately presented. Throughout the entire stay, we felt incredibly welcomed and looked after. We were even able to arrange a private driver to and from a local restaurant, which made my partner's birthday evening perfect, without the need to drive ourselves. Gil and Philip are excellent hosts, whose overriding aim is clearly to ensure the enjoyment of every guest. We are extremely grateful for their hospitality and would absolutely stay again.

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! We had the most incredible stay at Old Hall Country Breaks the perfect getaway for our anniversary. From start to finish, everything was just perfect. Gill and Phill are truly amazing hosts, warm, welcoming and so thoughtful. They made us feel right at home and helped make our celebration really special. The rooms were stunning, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Every little detail was taken care of and you can really tell how much care goes into everything. The Thai food delivered to our door was absolutely delicious, from a local vendor and truly authentic. It was exactly what we needed. Peaceful, relaxing and full of old country charm. Thank you so much for making our anniversary so memorable. We’ll definitely be back and if we could give more than 5 stars, we absolutely would!

Fantastic place above and beyond. We did meet Phil who seemed like a nice fella but Gil was a cut above, nothing was any trouble we stayed in the Stable Cottage and it was everything we imagined. We had Japanese food on arrival and a breakfast hamper over the next two mornings which I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys breakfasts with plenty of choice. Absolutely great place to stay!

What a great weekend away me and my girlfriend had! This place is so quaint and peaceful with all the animals in the area, you can even go and see the horses, goats and chickens and feed them too! We stayed at the Stable Cottage and it was just an amazing setup! The hosts were so lovely and welcoming and we had Thai one of the nights. The service and food was incredible! I would love to come back someday! Thank you Gil and Phil!
